Contra Costa LAFCO maintains a directory of all 19 cities and 478 special districts (both independent and dependent). In this directory you will find them listed by agency type. Each one-page profile is followed by a map of the agency’s territory that, in the case of the cities, includes the current approved sphere of influence (SOI). If there is no map, that district is county-wide.

The majority of these maps have now been updated as part of the Municipal Service Reviews and SOI Updates that have been conducted over the past four years. We extend sincere thanks to the GIS team in the County Department of Conservation and Development for their work on the maps.
